Metabolic Syndrome, sometimes known as metabolic syndrome X, is another name for Insulin Resistance. It is a collection of risk factors that have been defined as follows:
Central obesity (excessive fat tissue in and around the abdomen)
- Atherogenic dyslipidemia (blood fat disorders — mainly high triglycerides and low HDL cholesterol — that foster plaque buildups in artery walls)
- Raised blood pressure (130/85 mmHg or higher)
- Insulin resistance or glucose intolerance (the body can’t properly use insulin or blood sugar)
- Prothrombotic state (e.g., high fibrinogen or plasminogen activator inhibitor [–1] in the blood)
- Proinflammatory state (e.g., elevated high-sensitivity C-reactive protein in the blood)
How many people have Metabolic Syndrome?
It is estimated that approximately one in four people suffer from Metabolic Syndrome or metabolic Syndrome X in the United States. Of course, most of these people do not know they have Insulin Resistance and therefore they are not seeking any kind of Metabolic Syndrome treatment.
What Metabolic Syndrome treatment is available?
According to the American Heart Association:
“More studies are needed to understand the relationship between metabolic risk factors and the efficacy of drug therapy in people who have the metabolic syndrome.”
This means that conventional medicine does not currently offer a Metabolic Syndrome treatment. The AHA recommends weight loss and exercise, which of course are a major part of the Insulite System.
We also recommend the unique natural formula of the Insulite System as an effective natural Metabolic Syndrome treatment. Changing your diet is an important aspect of the Insulite System and essential in any treatment of Metabolic Syndrome or Metabolic Syndrome X.
What kind of diet is best for Metabolic Syndrome or Metabolic Syndrome X?
The best diet for Metabolic Syndrome is a low carb diet, which reduces the amount of bread, pasta, grains and other carbohydrates that you consume. Many people have now adopted a low carb diet and this is a positive step towards an effective Metabolic Syndrome X treatment. However, a low carb diet alone may not be enough to reverse Metabolic Syndrome or Syndrome X. Exercise is essential and science shows that certain nutrients and herbs are effective in reversing Insulin Resistance. These are included in the unique Insulite System formula — the leading natural Metabolic System treatment.
If I have Insulin Resistance will I also get PCOS?
Insulin Resistance and PCOS are related conditions. In fact, PCOS is caused by the same factors as Insulin Resistance (metabolic syndrome x), so if you are at risk of PCOS it makes sense to do the same things as if you had Metabolic Syndrome X (or Syndrome X): exercise more, adopt a low carb diet, and use the Insulite System for reversing Insulin Resistance. This is one of the best metabolic syndrome treatments currently available.
