Why does Insulin Resistance cause food cravings?
One effect of Insulin Resistance is that your blood sugar levels rise and fall quite dramatically during the day. This leads your brain to believe you need food when you don’t, so you keep feeling hungry — and no amount of food satisfies your cravings for long.

Does eating too much fat lead to Insulin Resistance?
Surprisingly, eating fat doesn’t make you fat. The main cause of Insulin Resistance and the resulting weight problem is excess carbohydrates. However, consuming too much fat in your diet will not help you lose weight and can lead to other health risks.

What makes the Insulite System different from other low-carb diets?
Unlike the Atkins or South Beach diet, the Insulite System is designed for the health of your whole body. We do emphasize protein as part of the plan, but carbohydrates are not totally excluded. What we recommend is a healthy balance of protein and the good carbohydrates, primarily vegetables and fruits.

When you follow our Nutritional Guidelines you’ll be able keep your blood sugar stable. One result is you’ll find you are only hungry at mealtimes. Also you will be easily satisfied by what you eat, and your energy levels will remain constant all through the day. The reason is that our unique nutritional formulas "instruct" or "remind" your insulin and glucose how to work together the way nature intended. This prevents weight gain and supports weight loss.

I did the Atkins diet and failed. Why should I succeed any better with the Insulite System?
There are important differences between the Atkins diet and the Insulite System. First, the Atkins diet only suggests severe reductions in carbohydrates. It does not include the need for special nutrients to reverse Insulin Resistance, the cause of most weight problems. The Insulite System formula helps increase the number of insulin receptors on the cell surface and thus reverses Insulin Resistance. At the same time, the formula “instructs” or “reminds” your body’s glucose and insulin how to work together effectively. The result is lasting weight loss.

How long does the Insulite System take to produce results?
It took you many months, perhaps years, to become overweight. So you cannot expect to reverse this overnight. Some people will tell you stories of rapid weight loss, but it almost never lasts and can be harmful. Gradual weight loss is the route to lasting weight loss. Here’s why: Your cells have memory, and your body gets conditioned to a certain weight. If you change the weight rapidly, your body will attempt to restore you to the familiar weight. This is what causes the so-called “yo-yo” effect of crash dieting. And each time, it gets harder to lose the pounds. We recommend gradual, steady weight loss over six to twelve months. Research shows that your ideal rate of weight loss is between 1/2 lb and 1lb a week, which means shedding up to 52 lbs per year. If you stay on the Insulite System for this period, you will experience lasting weight loss, more energy and better all-round health. We guarantee it! Then twelve months will seem very short indeed.

How does it feel to use the Insulite System?
The Insulite System is about more than losing weight. It’s about building positive health. As you get into the program, you can expect to feel more energized and your level of stamina is likely to stay constant throughout the day. You should experience a decrease in afternoon loss of concentration. You will also notice that you have less cravings for carbohydrates like candy and cookies in the early afternoon. You are likely to sleep better and feel more refreshed when you awake in the morning.

How many pills do I need to take every day?
There are three parts to the Insulite System formula: InsulX, RejuvenX and GlucX. Here are the dosages for each:

InsulX: 2 caps twice a day (4 caps total)
RejuvenX: 2 caps twice a day (4 caps total)
GlucX: 6 caps twice a day (12 caps total)

If you are anxious about consuming so many capsules, you can safely reduce the number of GlucX capsules. This product, which is designed to slow the absorption of sugar in your bloodstream, will still provide benefits if you take half the recommended dose, or 3 caps twice a day.

Can I eat protein bars as part of this diet?
Yes, we recommend high protein bars that have a ratio of at least 30% protein to 40% carbohydrates. Check the labels of your favorite protein bars. When you are on the go, you can also snack on high protein foods like cottage cheese, nuts and lean meats.

Does the Insulite System formula contain any fat blockers or stimulants?
Absolutely not. The Insulite System is a natural, science-based approach to weight loss. We believe that stimulants and fat blockers can be harmful when taken on a daily basis. Furthermore, we do not believe that these chemicals lead to truly lasting weight loss. The Insulite System uses a unique combination of nutrients and herbs to help your body naturally reverse Insulin Resistance, along with your own changes in diet and exercise.

What happens if I experience a problem with gas while using the Insulite System?
If you notice an increase in gas while taking the Insulite System, we recommend reducing the GlucX to 2 capsules a day for several days. Then add one capsule a day until you are back to a total of 12 per day. If this still does not resolve the problem, please email us at: support@stopinsulinresistance.com

Can teenagers safely use the Insulite System?
Yes. The Nutrition and Exericise Guidelines are appropriate for anyone over the age of 12. The Insulite System formula is effective for teenagers, but because there have been no clinical studies for young people we recommend half the adult dose:

InsulX: 1 cap twice a day (2 caps total)
RejuvenX: 1 cap twice a day (2 caps total)
GlucX: 3 caps twice a day (6 caps total)

Are there any ingredients in the Insulite System that could increase my blood pressure?
No. On the contrary, when you reduce your levels of circulating fasting insulin, you will also reduce your blood pressure. This is because high levels of insulin damage the interior lining of blood vessels which leads to high blood pressure or hypertension.

Can I take the Insulite System formula if I am on Glucophage® (Metformin)?
Yes, the Insulite System is safe to combine with Glucophage. The effect of Glucophage is to decrease your liver’s production of glucose in order to control blood sugar. In our experience, people who take Glucophage alone may or may not succeed in losing weight and controlling their blood sugar. The Insulite System includes guidelines that will definitely help you control your blood sugar and the formula will reverse your Insulin Resistance. That’s the difference between the Insulite System and any other approach to Insulin Resistance.

Is Insulin Resistance the same as Type II Diabetes?
When you have Insulin Resistance, your body is trying to produce too much insulin because the hormone is not getting the response it should from your cells. This can go on for many years before type II diabetes sets in. Diabetes occurs when your body’s ability to produce insulin begins to fail. Another difference is that Insulin Resistance does not require daily medication to control the disease.

If I have Insulin Resistance am I certain to get Type II Diabetes?
If you do nothing about it, there is a real danger that Insulin Resistance will lead to type II diabetes. However, the right combination of nutrients, diet and moderate exercise can reverse Insulin Resistance and prevent the onset of diabetes. This is the scientific basis of the Insulite System.

Can I use the Insulite System if I have diabetes?
The goal of the Insulite System is to decrease the production of insulin, rather than increase it. However, because the system is designed to help you achieve optimum insulin and glucose function, it is also suitable for people with diabetes. The formula reduces the damage that results from high levels of blood sugar and insulin. It also contains high quality antioxidant protection that is potent and specialized. Additionally, anyone suffering from diabetes will benefit from the Nutrition and Exercise Guidelines. Please note: the Insulite System has been shown to decrease the need for insulin. If you have Diabetes or hypoglycemia, please discuss your decision to use the Insulite System with your physician, who will be able to help you monitor and change your insulin and carbohydrate intake appropriately.

I am Diabetic. Will my insulin dose change if I am on the Insulite System? Yes. When first starting the program, we advise that you carefully monitor your insulin dosages and blood sugar levels for several weeks. Initially, you are strongly recommended to monitor blood sugar levels 3-4 times per day. The lifestyle changes we advocate and the Insulite System nutrients can both lead to a significant change in your insulin requirements. For most people, the diet we recommend requires less insulin, while the formula nutrients have the effect of reducing blood sugar. If you are diabetic, please consult your physician who will help you find the correct balance of insulin.

I am a diabetic taking Actos. Can I safely use the Insulite System?
Yes you can safely combine Actos with the Insulite System. Actos is designed to inhibit your liver’s production of glucose between meals and while you sleep. It decreases circulating insulin and improves glycemic control. Both Actos and the Insulite System will help increase your insulin sensitivity over time, and this may help prevent you becoming resistant to your own or injected insulin. Actos will not help you lose weight, and neither will it reduce the damage that excess insulin has done in the past. The Insulite System can provide both these benefits.

I have hypoglycemia. Is the Insulite System appropriate for me?
Yes. When first starting the Insulite System, we advise you to carefully monitor your blood sugar levels 3-4 times a day for several weeks. The nutrients in the Insulite System formula do stabilize blood sugar. Also, the diet changes in our Nutritional Guidelines require people with hypoglycemia to be vigilant about their blood sugar levels. Anyone with hypoglycemia is advised to use HALF the dose of the INSULX for their first two weeks on the Insulite System, because this formula has the greatest effect on blood sugar levels. If your blood sugar is stable after two weeks, you can safely increase to the full dose of INSULX. Remember, if you suffer from hypoglycemia, you are recommended to eat five or six small meals per day. The meals should be protein-based and you will need to watch your consumption of carbohydrates.

Will the Insulite System help with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome)?
Yes. One of the causes of PCOS is excess levels of insulin. The Insulite System will reduce your body’s exposure to insulin and this can reduce the recurrence of cysts on your ovaries. Also, the Nutritional and Exercise Guidelines show you ways to change your lifestyle so that you permanently change your body’s response to insulin. This will help you reverse PCOS.

If I have PCOS, will using the Insulite System cause a decrease in androgens?
Yes, that is a benefit you can expect from the Insulite System. As a woman reduces her weight, her circulating androgens decrease. In fact, the Insulite System has been designed to help people with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) because there is a direct connection between this condition and Insulin Resistance.
